Administrative / Biographical History

William Bagley was central secretary of the Glass Bottle Makers of Yorkshire United Trade Protection Society and founded the Yorkshire Glass Bottle Manufacturers' Association in 1876.

The collection was deposited with the Centre in 1989 by Lt.-Col. J.D. Elliott, great-grandson of William Bagley.

1993, The addresses of appreciation to Dr. Stanley Bagley were donated to the Centre by Mr. and Mrs. Wyndham Parsons.
