Extent and medium correct to CALM/2005/14 accession, does not include later uncatalogued material. Scope and content also correct to CALM/2005/14. Uncatalogued material is listed briefly here and described in more detail at fonds level.

The Garrowby Estate records now held at the Borthwick Institute arrived in two deposits. The first deposit, made in August 1980, consisted of the records referenced B3.1 - B3.25 (with the exception of B3.5a, deposited on 16 November 2004). B3.26 was deposited on 9 May 2000. A significant collection of additional estate records discovered in the Estate Office at Bugthorpe was deposited at the Borthwick Institute on 1 February 2005. The second deposit consisted of the records now referenced B3.27 -B3.59 and B4.4. The arrangement of the catalogue reflects these two separate record deposits.
