This series consists of the annual returns of the society. Many societies sent copies of their annual returns to the Co-operative Union so that they could provide up-to-date information for the forthcoming year's Co-operative Statistics, published by the Co-operative Union at Co-operative Congress.
Annual returns typically detail any changes to the number of members, summaries of the cash account, trade of the year, profit and loss, application of profit, balance sheet of funds and effects.
