Scope and Content

Newspaper cuttings provide an account of the political turmoil in Libya during the end of the 1960s and beginning of the 1970s. The cuttings feature articles regarding the overthrow of King Idris, Colonel Gaddafi, Libya's relationship with the United States, Britain, France and Egypt, and the purchase of arms and weaponry.
