Scope and Content

Nine numbered ink outline drawings of various injuries to the Gasserian ganglion. Annotations on the back read "Fig.6 Jefferson Schorstein Trigeminal Injuries" and "BJS Jefferson 006 Reduce 2:1".

This image features as figure 699 in the publication G. Jefferson & J. Schorstein, 'Injuries of the trigeminal nerve, its ganglion and its division', British Journal of Surgery, 1955, in which it is described as follows: "Diagram of estimated extent of ganglion injury in missile injuries. Motor branch black if injured. Hatching denotes degree of anaesthesia".
