Fifth nerve operations

Four ross drawings of an operation to remove 5th nerve tumours relating to three different patients. The top two drawings relate to the same patient and the bottom two relate to two different patients. Annotations on the back read "Patient name 1 21.2.47 carcinoma, patient name 2 22.3.47, patient name 3 6.10.36".

Each patient's surname is written next to the relevant drawing(s).

This file contains sensitive personal information about an individual who is less than 100 years old and is closed under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, subject to review by UoM archivist.

UoM Library also hold the medical case notes for one of the subjects of this drawing which can be found in the collection of Geoffrey Jefferson's patient case files, JCN/8/44. This is the drawing in the bottom left corner for the patient operated on in 1936.
