Rhymney Valley Women's Aid was established in 1976. The primary aim of the group is to provide a place of safety and emotional and practical support and information for women and their children experiencing domestic abuse. Access to the service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is open to women from any part of the country. Referrals are accepted from individuals as well as statutory and voluntary agencies. Women's Aid is also a nationwide movement which campaigns for the right of women to live without fear.
