LETTER: [?] at Coytmor to [?Mrs. Troughton]. A very interesting letter where the author describes the journey from London to Coytmor; for example, '....at nine o'clock at night we set out for Wales, a late hour you'll say; to venture over Finchley Common, however we were so lucky as not to be attacked by any of the Highway Gentry! Outside Holywell, '.... one of the hind spring of my new Post Chaise broke down...'. Mentions the race meeting held at Conway and also the marriage of [Ridgeway Owen Meyrick] to [Diana] Wynn of Dyffryn Aled caustically remarking that, 'the English may be slight of our Wales as they please, but you find they have no objection to, accept of a good Fortune in our Principality. Rest of letter deals with family matters i.e. the illness of Capt[ain] Troughton.
