Administrative / Biographical History
The Vokes family of Bridge Street in Llandaff and Cardiff held a number of properties in Llandaff and Canton, and the New Sea Lock Hotel, Docks (now Atlantic Wharf) and notably 9 St. Johns Square in the commercial and retail area of central Cardiff. Most of the deeds and related legal papers concern the latter.
Deeds and related legal papers are held in four bundles: the first three consisting mainly of earlier records including parchment documents, and a fifth bundle of later deeds and papers. The fourth bundle includes a schedule of the deeds and papers. None of the individual records have been numbered.
