Administrative / Biographical History

In 1981, Greenham Common Air Base, Berkshire, became the target of an anti-nuclear protest that was to last for 19 years. Women protesting at the siting of Cruise missiles at the base set up the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp, which ran until the year 2000.
