Typed notes by W.R. Brock, regarding the correspondence of William Brown, 1877. Papers are held by the Virginia historical society. Brock only has the following to say about the correspondence;
William Brown was a Virginia clergyman who served as a delegate to the Presbyterian Council held in Edinburgh in July 1877. He wrote four letters to his wife in Richmond Va., descibing his stay in Scotland. The letters also give considerable detail of the deliberations of the Council, but are not of great interest. [S.d.]
