Scope and Content

1 Mary Powell late of Pembrock, co. Pemb., but now of Swanzey, co. Glam., widow and executrix of John Powell, late of Pembroke aforesaid, doctor in physic, dec., and Letitia Powell, infant, only issue and heir of the said John Powell by the said Mary Powell. 2 Elizabeth Philipps, widow, Anne Philipps, spinster, William Evans, gent., Elizabeth his wife, and Mary Philipps, spinster, all of Swanzey, co. Glam. (the said Elizabeth Phillips [sic] being the relict and executrix and the said Anne Philipps, Elizabeth, wife of the said William Evans, and Mary Philipps being the only surviving issue and heirs, of William Philipps, late of Swanzey aforesaid, gent., dec., formerly the mortgagee). 3 Hugh Barlow of Lawrenny, co. Pemb., esq., devisee of Joseph Walter, late of Haverfordwest, esq., dec., son and heir of Sir Richard Walter, late of the same, kt, by Dame Thomazine, his late wife, both dec. 4 Mary Walter of p. Whealm, Essex, spinster, Benjamin Stokes of Haverford West, gent., and Bridget his wife (late Bridgett [sic] Stokes, widow of Anthony Stokes, late of p. Rosemarket, co. Pemb., gent., dec.), Charles Davids, late of Westfield, co. Pemb., gent., a lieutenant, RN, and Barnardiston his wife, and Ermin Walter of p. Saint Mary Le Bone, Middlesex, spinster (which said Mary, Bridget, Barnardiston and Ermin are sisters and heirs of the said Joseph Walter and daughters and heirs of the said Richard Walter by the said Dame Thomazine). 5 Alexander Eliot of Eareweare, co. Pemb., esq., and Elizabeth his wife, late Elizabeth Walter, widow of the said Joseph Walter. 6 William Owen of Landshipping, co. Pemb., esq. (trustee of terms of 99 and 200 years). 7 David Tho[ma]s of Carmarthen, gent. 8 Charles Owen of Lincolns Inn, Middlesex, gent. Release (in obedience to a decree of 5 Feb. 1739/40) of the m. and lands called Ravensdale, subject to payments of £500 and £300 (according to an order of 8 Aug. 1746), and of the m's and lands called Pwlch Benddoy lwyn, Penny Cwm and Allt Ddu, parcels of intermixed lands at Nant y Caus, and the m's and lands called Nant y Caus, Tyr y stuard otherwise Pensarn Land and Maes y Llan, p. Llangunnor, co. Carm., charged with the said sums, and assignment of the terms specified above.
