Scope and Content

Black and white reproduction of work by Jean-Louis Forain, titled Le repos du modèle (1st Plate). This is later than the impression reproduced in the Guerin catalogue, and appears to be identical with the state of the impression reproduced in Knoedler's Forain Exhibition. Catalogue 1931 (Print Collection Bulletin, Vol. II. N. 5). What state is it? Three states seem to exist. It is at least a 2nd state, with subject of picture on wall indicated
