Scope and Content

Bequeaths to his niece Margaret Roberts, "now living with me," £5000 stock, £4000 in the 4 per cent Bank Consolidated [3 per cent by 1784] and £1000 in the New South Sea annuities; he bequeathed her, this niece, who had lived "ever dutiful" with him "many years" all the residue of his personal estate, and named her sole executrix. To his sister Lowry £40; to his nephews and nieces, £100 share and share alike; to Robert Lloyd, Lieutenant of Marines, £10; to Hugh Lloyd, Lieutenant of Invalids, £5; to nephew Thomas Lloyd, his silver watch; to his old friend John Jones of Knightsbridge, £5.
