Scope and Content

Typescript letters include Britten writing a note for the 1960-1961 season programme as President of the society, as well as being appointed President in 1961 against his wishes, due to an article written by Neville Cardus in the 1961-1962 brochure.

Includes the programmes for the 1961-1962 and 1962-1963 Brighton Concert Season by the society and Reports and Accounts booklets for 1960, 1962, 1963 and 1964.

Correspondence is from Rosemary Mackay, Herbert Menges, Rosemary de Brett, Rosemary Harris, Kenneth J. Brendon and Frances C. Alldis. Typescript replies are from Britten or his secretary, J. W. Cullum.
