Scope and Content

This volume contains the following eight Hurufi tracts, which are preceded by an index (ff 1v-2r) :. (I) ff 2v-93r : Işkname-i ilahi, a work composed in 833 AH (1429-30 CE) by Firişteoğlu;. (II) ff 93v-94r : A tract explaining the significance of the various letters;. (III) ff 94v-97v : Another treatise on the letters;. (IV) ff 98r-100r : A hadis explained according to the Hurufi school of thought (ff 98r-99r), followed by a similar work (ff 99r-100r);. (V) ff 101v-121v : Hidayetname, a tract with a Persian preface by Firişteoğlu;. (VI) ff 122r-132r : Risale-i Ashab-i Kehf, and two shorter tracts;. (VII) ff 133v-166v : Risale-i Virani Baba, which is also called Fakrname;. (VIII) ff 167r-172v : Risale-i Lübbü'l-hakaik, a tract by Emir Ali known as Ha'. The manuscript was copied in the 19th century CE.
